Adulterous Relationships Scripture

Definition

An adulterer is someone who commits adultery, someone who has an extramarital affair. (Also called a Libertine Cuckolded, bed hopper, and spouse swapper.) This person is acting immorally and out of the bounds of marriage and indulges in immoral sexual conduct.

Bible Statement

Comment

We can note throughout God’s love letters to us that should we sin in this particular way we sadden God. Marriage is a bond that God has created. Sex is part of what God has created for us. If we violate the marriage bed we can expect to pay the consequences for our actions. The consequences are so wide spread that it would be next to impossible to cover in this short of an article. Some are premature death, destruction of the mind of family members, disease, physical blindness, Loss of a belief system, mental illness of some of the family members and on and on the list goes.

When the separation takes place one of the married partners may not have the same ability to provide for the children or even them self. The destruction of the marriage union is far reaching to children and family.

It is the children that will carry most of the scars for years to come. They often think that they are not loved and or the split up is because of them. This stigma is something that may last for their entire life. The children should be taken aside to a private place where they can ask questions and they should be encouraged to do so. It may be impossible for them to think clear enough at this time because of the impact of the new discovery of the pending divorce. Their age is a factor too; if they are young then they do not even know what to ask. A child can see that their parents love each other, if so that is what gives them security. A child is the product of the parents they reflect what they see and hear.
