ABORTION

Definition

An abortion is an operation or other means to end a pregnancy by the taking a living embryo or fetus.

Bible Statement:

The bible states do not murder. The bible also states children are God's heritage and his reward. Life and death are in God's hands. Only God has the right to end a life. After all He created us didn’t He? Children are a gift from God. They are not for man to manipulate or for man to decide whether they live or die, especially before they see the light of day. The doctor and/or other person(s) will pay for the sin of murder at the judgment seat, make no mistake about that.

Scripture

1st John 3:8-10 all who practice sin are of the devil; Jesus came to earth so that we would be freed from the need to sin. We were born into sin and that is our nature.

Luke 17:2-4 if any one leads a little child astray their punishment will be horrendous.  3 Stay alert and prevent your Brother from his sins!   Be prepared to rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4 And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you uncountable times, saying, I repent then forgive him.

Matthew 18:14-16 it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that anyone of these little ones perishes. 15 furthermore if your brother sins, go and reprove him in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother over.  16 if he does not listen take one or two more with you, in order that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every fact may be confirmed.  (No matter what you may think we will all live forever. We have the ability to decide for ourselves who we want to follow. We may spend eternity in the presence of God in heaven or an eternity with Satan in hell.)

2nd Samuel 11:4-11 read this and discover that God does forgive when the heart truly repents. David showed how greedy he was. David thought only of himself and his fleshly desires. David committed adultery, plotted the death of Uriah in an attempt to cover up his own sin. Bathsheba was not an innocent party to this. She fully was aware of what she was doing when she exposed herself on the rooftop enticing David and anticipated the results of her actions. The actions of David and Bathsheba in this sin can fully be forgiven by God when they in their hearts are sorry for what they had done and beg forgiveness from God for their transgressions. God will forgive them for He is merciful and knows their hearts and will forgive anyone who is remorseful for their transgressions. Read the whole story. It may enlighten you. Do you realize that when you sin you spit in the face of Jesus which is the same way He was treated as He drug the cross to Calvary where he gave His life for us?

John 4:16-18 He said to her beckon your husband to come here. 17 The woman answering Him confessed, “I have no husband”.  Jesus said to her, you have well said, ‘I have no husband’ 18 for you have had five male companions, and the one whom you now have is not your husband. What you have spoken is the truth.

Exodus 21:23 men who make an effort that harms a woman with child, causing her to abort the child, and yet no other harm is evident shall be surely punished.   As the woman's husband decides that he wants to lay upon him an eye for an eye; and he shall also pay as the judges determine. 23 if there is any other injury to her, and then there shall be a sentence of a life for life.

Romans 13:9-10 do not commit adultery. Do not murder, steal nor covet. Of all the things Jesus has taught us the most important of all is to love. Love is the fulfillment of the law. (Would we show love if we denied life to any one of God’s creations?)

Psalms 139:13 God formed our inward parts. He wove them while we were still in our mother’s womb

Judges 13:13-14 the angel of the LORD said to Manoah, women are to pay attention to all that I have said. 14 They are not to eat anything that comes from the vine nor drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean things. During her pregnancy, let her scrutinize all that I have commanded

Would we show love if we denied life to any one of God’s creations? The expulsion of a human fetus is murder. The fetus is a living person that God has made and is in the beginning stages of perfecting one of His creations. This perfection is called sanctification.  Sanctification is a process that will continue until the day of Jesus Christ; this is when He comes to take us home. There is a story: When all the aborted children reach heaven they ask God what would we have been on earth had we had the chance to live. God, pointing to each one would say, you would have been a doctor and found a cure for cancer. Yet to another He said you would have been a scientist and discovered a cure for Alzheimer’s, to another you would have been another Billy Graham. Do not think that this may not be true. For we do not know what God’s plans are, we only know the plans that are outlined in His love letters to us (The Bible). When, in the presence of God, having been taken up we will become all knowing. Will all these roles in lives be avoided now that they would not have a chance to live? The bible states do not murder. The bible also states, children are God's heritage and his reward. Life and death are in God’s hands. Only God has the right to end a life. After all He created us did He not? Children are a gift from God, not for some Doctor to abort for some one. The Doctor will pay for the sin of murder as will anyone else who assists him or performs an abortion.  Make no mistake about that. When, in the presence of God; having been taken up we will become all knowing. This will answer all the questions we have had.

No matter what sin we have committed God’s grace is sufficient to cleanse us from any sin that we have committed except the sin of denying the Holy Spirit. The existence of the triune God cannot be ignored. So then if we are truly regretful of any sin(s) we have, then the God who created us will no longer be able to see the sin for it is concealed by the blood of Jesus.  See Matthew 12:31-32
