Cremation (Scripture)
Definition
To burn a body until the only thing left is ashes. The
incinerated body or corpse will be reduced to ashes.
Bible statement
Matthew 10:28 do not fear those who destroy the body,
but are unable to kill the soul; however fear Him who is
able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
John 5:24-26 beyond doubt, I say to you, he who perceive
the sound of My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has
eternal life, and doesn't come into judgment, but has
passed out of death into life. 25 beyond doubt, I say to
you, an hour is coming and now is, when the deceased
shall hear the voice of the Son of God; those who hear
shall live. 26 For just as the Father has life in
Himself, even so He gave to the Son also to have life in
Himself.
Rom 6:3-5 Aren't you aware that all of us who were
baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into
death in order that, also as Christ was raised from the
dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a
new life. If we have been united with him like this in
his death, we will assuredly be united with him in his
resurrection.
Colossians 2:12 having been buried with Him in baptism,
in which you were also raised from death to life with
Him through faith in the working of God, who resurrected
Him from the dead.
1st Thessalonians 4:13-14 13 But we don't want you to be
ignorant, brethren, about those who are asleep, that you
may not feel sad, as do the rest that have no hope. 14
For if we have no doubt that Jesus died and rose again,
yet God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep
in Jesus.
1st. Peter tells us that because we have been born again
that our soul will never parish, because we have
purified ourselves by following The word and have
genuine love for our fellow man. Therefore we have no
need for this old sinful body.
John 11:26-27 everyone who lives and believes in Me will
never die. Do you believe this?
1st. Corinthians 5:3 For I, on my part, though absent in
body but present in spirit, have already judged him who
has so committed this, as though I were present.
When we have passed on we then go immediately to be with
our Lord, and will dwell in His house eternally. Our new
body will be free from any pain or impurities. We also
will be able to recognize others that we knew on earth.
We will, after a short time, have no thoughts about
those left behind. But now is the time to tell all who
will listen about the wonderful love of our God.
Comment
From God’s word we can see that you who believe have
been assured of the fact that you will be with Him in
heaven. We were buried with Him in baptism and raised
with Him in faith. God said that whoever believes in
Jesus Christ shall not perish but have eternal life. The
body that we have is just a vessel and nothing else. We
need it while we are on earth but when we arrive in
heaven we will have that new glorified body. We have
been told in His word that we are not to worry for He
will take care of us. All we need to do is follow Him
and seek His face. There is nothing that will please God
any more than to have us spend time in the word learning
what we are to do and to follow His word.
