Problems
Definition
Problems: A difficult
situation, matter or person. Legal relationship between
spouses: a legally recognized relationship,
established by a civil or religious ceremony, between
two people who intend to live together as sexual and
domestic partners.
Biblical Statement
God did not intend for you
to separate. They will become one flesh, note that God
did not say that they would be able to come and go as
they pleased. But they would be bound until death. They
are one not two.
Scripture
Romans 7:1-2. Do you not
know, brothers-- for I am speaking to men who know the
law-- that the law has authority over a man only as long
as he lives? A married woman is bound to her husband as
long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is
released from the law of marriage concerning her
husband.
Mark 10:6-8. From the
beginning of creation God made them male and female.
For this reason a man will leave his father and
mother and be united to his wife, and the two will
become one flesh so they are no longer two, but are one
flesh.
1st. Corinthians 7:10-11. To
the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A
wife must not separate from her husband. But if she
does, she must remain unmarried or else be submissive to
her husband. And a husband must not send his wife away.
Matthew 19:9. I say to you,
anyone who divorces his wife, except for immorality, and
marries another woman commits adultery.
Hebrews 13:5. Keep your
lives free from the worship of money and be satisfied
with what you have, because God has said, Never will I
leave you; never will I forsake you.
Jeremiah
32:18-19. You demonstrate love to thousands but
bring the chastisement for the fathers' sins into the
laps of their children after them. Oh great and powerful
God, whose name is the Lord almighty, great are your
purposes and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are open
to all the ways of men; you reward everyone according to
his conduct and as his deeds deserve.
Ephesians
5:21-33. Submit to one another out of reverence
for Christ. Wives, submit to your husbands as to the
Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ
is the head of the church, His body, of which He is the
Savior. Just as the church submits to Christ, so also
wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the
church and gave himself up for her to make her holy,
purifying her by the washing with water through the
word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church,
without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy
and blameless. In this same way,
husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies.
He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one
ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it,
just as Christ does the church--for we are members of
His body. For this reason a man will leave his father
and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will
become one flesh. This is a profound mystery-- but I am
talking about Christ and the church. Each
one of us also must love his wife as he loves himself,
and the wife must respect her husband.
