FORGIVE

Definition

To forgive is the act of pardoning others in spite of their shortcomings, errors.

Bible Statement

Forgiveness as it pertains to Christianity refers to Gods pardon of the sins of all human beings. When we truly forgive we would never recall the offence. As hard as it may seem God completely forgives our sins. The bible is very clear that we must forgive, for if we don’t, then our Father who is in heaven will not forgive us. It also tells us that there is no ends to the amount of times we must forgive those whom we sense have sinned against us.

Scripture

Matthew 6:12 pardon us our debts, as we also have pardoned those who have sinned against us

Matthew 6:14-15 do not hamper your heavenly Father from forgiving you by when you pardon men for their transgressions. 15 If you do not forgive men, then your heavenly Father will not forgive your transgressions.

Matthew 18:21-22 Peter came and said to the "Lord, how often when brother sins against me shall I forgive him? Should I forgive him seven times?" 22 Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.
(The implication is as many times as he offends you. Not limed to a number. Think about it God is not limited to the amount of times He forgives us is He?)

Proverbs 24:17 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart be glad when he falters.

Mark 11:25-26 whenever you stand fast praying, forgive anyone you may that you have anything against. First forgive them so that you’re Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your transgressions. 26 if you do not forgive those who have affined you then your Father who is in heaven will not forgive your transgressions.

Luke 17:3 remain alert if your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4 if his sin is against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, I repent, forgive him.

Matthew 18:35 likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts do not forgive of his brothers their trespasses.

Mark 11:24-26 you can pray for anything, if you believe, you have it; it's yours. 25 whenever you are praying, if you have anything against anyone forgive them; so that your Father who is in heaven may also may forgive you your transgressions. 26 Should you not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your transgressions.

1st John 3:21-23 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have self-confidence before God. 22 whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments. We do the things that are pleasing in His sight. 23 And this is His commandment that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, we are to love one another, just as He commanded us.

John 14:13-15 whatever you ask in My name, I will do so, in order that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 ask Me anything in My name, 15 "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

John 15:10-12 you will abide in My love when you keep My commandments just as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love. 11 These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may be in you, and your joy may be made full. 12 My commandment is that you love one another, just as I have loved you.

1st John 1:6-10 when we say that we have fellowship with Him but continue to walk in the darkness we lie. Therefore we do not practice the truth. 7 but if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of His Son Jesus Christ His only begotten Son cleanses us from all our sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves. The truth doses not abide in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we are calling Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

Comment

If we will read John 10:27-29 we find that Jesus has told us that we who love Him will and do hear His voice, He also knows all of us who follow Him. We are given eternal life when we embrace Him and keep His commandments. No one can remove us from the hand of God. God the Father has given us to Jesus the Son for safe keeping. (so keep in mind that we cannot be removed from His care. So put on the full armor of God. When we are in possession of the full body of armor we cannot be penetrated in any way from the anything or anyone. See Ephesians 6:11 also see Mark 3;27 and see that a man equipped for any on slot of aggression from Satan cannot be harmed.

All have sinned and fallen short of Gods glory see Romans 3:23

There is no other than our God whom gave of His Son. Jesus is part of the Triune God all forgiveness is linked to Him for we have
Enjoyed His grace and been forgiven our many sins. We were all given to Him by God to be cared for Jesus came to earth to bring
Salvation to all who would come to the Father through Jesus the Christ.

It is important that we all know no matter how horrendous the sin that we have committed God can and will forgive us if we will
humble our self’s and partition for forgiveness. The bible teaches that God completely forgives sin through Jesus. Jesus paid for us
and our sins with the ultimate sacrifice see John 3:16

There is no other way.
